Arcadia refers to the Utopian vision of harmony with nature. The term is derived from the Greek province of the same name which dates to antiquity and is often reported to be the birthplace of the God, Zeus and his son Hermes.
Inhabitants of Arcadia are often believed to be living in the manner of the Golden Age - virtuous, without pride and avarice. Enjoying the bountiful, natural splendour of an uncorrupted world.
